MATC Men’s Basketball Signs Mikey Chapman

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) men's basketball program is honored to announce the signing of Mikey (Aidan) Chapman, a highly touted 2025 recruit from Keshena, Wisconsin.

Chapman joins the Stormers after a standout athletic career at Menominee Indian High School, where he established himself as one of the top shooters in the state. At 6'4", Chapman brings a unique combination of size, skill and shooting ability to MATC's roster. He concluded his senior season with the Eagles on a high note, averaging 13.4 points per game and tallying 322 total points. A prolific shooter from long range, Chapman set two school records during his final campaign — sinking 10 three-pointers in a single game and draining 81 total threes across the season. He finished the year shooting an impressive 44 percent from beyond the arc, which ranked fourth in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division III in three-point shooting. His top scoring performance came in a game against the Wabeno/Laona, where he poured in a season-high 30 points.

"Mikey is a very talented overall athlete as shown in the amazing senior year of high school he had in all the sports he participated in," MATC head coach Randy Casey said. "We are excited to have Mikey in our program and can't wait to watch him continue to develop. He has the tools to be a great three-point shooter and all-around player."

Chapman's stellar shooting and on-court leadership earned him invitations to prestigious events, including the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Star Game and the Native American All-Star Basketball Showcase, scheduled for June 19–22 in Atlanta, Georgia. In the offseason, he competed on the AAU circuit with Gym Class Heroes 365, further honing his game against some of the state's best.

In addition to his success on the hardwood, Chapman is also a standout in track and field. He qualified for both the 2025 WIAA Indoor and Outdoor State Track & Field Championships, competing in the high jump. During the outdoor season, he placed seventh in the Division II boys' high jump with a leap of 6 feet, 4 inches. He also holds the Menominee Indian High School record in the event, clearing a personal best of 6 feet, 5 inches.
