MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Milwaukee Area Technical College is proud to announce the signing of 2025 recruit Joshua Leslie to the Stormers men's basketball program. The 6-foot-3 guard, a Chicago native, has made a name for himself primarily through his play on the AAU circuit.
Unlike most incoming freshmen, Leslie did not follow a traditional high school basketball path. He appeared in nine varsity games as a sophomore at Milwaukee Lutheran High School, averaging 2 points and 1 rebound per game. He then transferred to Martin Luther High School in Greendale, Wisconsin, for his final two years. However, due to transfer rules set by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA), he was ruled ineligible to compete in official games.
Undeterred, Leslie continued to refine his game on the AAU circuit, competing with ABC Young Lions and JAY Academy. While with JAY Academy, he averaged 17.5 points, 3 assists and 5 rebounds per game, showcasing his growth and potential at the guard position.
"Our coaching staff is excited to welcome Joshua into our basketball family here at Milwaukee Tech," said Stormers head coach
Randy Casey. "He is a talented guard who can score the ball and defend."
Leslie is expected to add depth and athleticism to the Stormers' backcourt as they prepare for the upcoming season.
