MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The MATC Athletic Department and the MATC Office of Student Life ask you to join our men's and women's basketball teams on Thursday, February 5, to celebrate Black History Month. The women's team will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. and the men's team will tip-off at 8:00 p.m. We will be giving away Black History Month t-shirts to the first 100 students who attend.

Also, during the games, we will be sharing interesting facts of African American sports achievements during timeouts, and in-between games, we will have a performance of the Black National Anthem, Lift Every Voice and Sing.

Black History Month in America is a time when the country recognizes the historically overlooked achievements of black Americans and the contributions they have made to society, as well as highlighting the adversity that they had to overcome. The observance of Black History Month began in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson.

Men's and Women's Basketball home games are played on the campus of Alverno College. The Gym (Reiman Gymnasium) is located at the corner of 39TH and W. Morgan Ave. Public parking is available in the E Lot.
