MATC Closes Regular Season in Style, Stretches Streak to 20 With Road Rout of Harper

PALATINE, Ill. — No. 5 Milwaukee Area Technical College refused to slow down in its regular‑season finale Thursday night, rolling past Harper 107–74 to stretch its winning streak to 20 games and lock in a 27–3 overall finish.

MATC set the tone early with a 56‑point first half built on pace, ball movement and efficient shotmaking. The Stormers controlled the tempo from the opening minutes, consistently generating clean looks in transition and in the half court while limiting Harper to 34 points before the break. MATC added 51 more in the second half to maintain full control and close out the regular season with an impressive 14–3 mark away from Milwaukee.

"It was great to end the regular season with a win on the road," MATC head coach Randy Casey said. "We will take a little time to enjoy what we did during the regular season. We reached one of our goals which was to have a solid regular season, but now we need to focus on getting ready for a playoff push."

Sophomore guard Jayden Hackett led the Stormers with 20 points on eight made field goals and a 3‑for‑3 performance at the free‑throw line. Sophomore guard Jordan Jones added 17 points, while freshman shooting guard Aidan Chapman scored 12, including a pair of threes.

Sophomore point guard Qi'Andre Washington finished with 11 points, two more than freshman forward Jason Lawani, who added nine. Second‑year guard Noah Daniels reached double figures with 10 points and two made threes. Backup point guard Kamarion Ivory contributed eight points off the bench, and freshman Sterling Hoarde added seven while going 3‑for‑3 at the line. Freshman forward Turon Rivers also scored seven, one more than Brendan Nesbary, who chipped in six.
