MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Milwaukee Area Technical College men's basketball team held firm once again in the national rankings, remaining at No. 5 in the Week 13 NJCAA Division II poll released Feb. 17, 2026. It marks the second straight week the Stormers have stayed at No. 5 after first climbing to the spot on Feb. 2.

MATC stayed put following another unbeaten week, going 2–0 with road wins over then‑No. 18 Madison College on Feb. 10 and Olive‑Harvey on Feb. 12. MATC (26–3) continues to stand as the highest‑ranked team in Region 4. Four other Region 4 programs appear in this week's poll: No. 9 South Suburban, No. 20 Bryant & Stratton, No. 22 Rock Valley and No. 23 Madison College.

Since the poll's release, MATC has added two more wins — defeating Blackhawk Technical College and Illinois Valley — pushing its winning streak to 19 straight. The Stormers now look to close out the regular season on a 20‑game winning streak when they travel to Harper on Thursday.
