Stormers Wrap Up “Suits and Sneakers” Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis.  – The Milwaukee Area Technical College men's and women's basketball teams wrapped up their participation in the nationwide American Cancer Society/National Association of Basketball Coaches Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week on Saturday, January 31.

As a reminder, the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneaker Week is a nationwide event held between Jan. 28 - Feb. 2, where NABC basketball coaches across the country unite to raise funds and awareness for a common cause – the collective fight to help end cancer. Furthermore, it also promotes the American Cancer Society as a primary source of inspiration and sense of hope for those who are battling cancer.

"All the coaches from our women's and men's basketball programs continue to be honored to be part of the NABC's Suits and Sneakers Coaches vs Cancer initiative," MATC assistant athletic director and men's basketball coach Travis Mrozek said. "Although our platform is smaller than some of the big time programs, we are glad to do what we can to help raise awareness for the American Cancer Society."

Since its conception in 1993, the Coaches vs Cancer program has raised over $179 million for the American Cancer Society.  For more information about Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneaker Week, please visit www.cancer.org/about-us/our-partners/coaches-vs-cancer.
