CHICAGO, Ill. — No. 5 Milwaukee Area Technical College extended its dominant midseason surge Thursday night, racing out early and never trailing in a 96–92 win at Olive‑Harvey. The victory marked the Stormers' 17th straight, improving them to 24–3 overall and 12–3 on the road, and capped a perfect week that also included a win over No. 18 Madison.
The Stormers once again controlled the early tempo and carried a 60–51 lead into halftime behind efficient ball movement and tenacious defense. MATC, which finished 17 of 23 at the line and hit just five 3‑pointers, relied heavily on its paint production and physicality to maintain its advantage throughout the second half. Olive‑Harvey made multiple pushes late, but the Stormers' composure and balanced scoring proved enough to close out the NJCAA Division I opponent.
"We started the game very strong on both ends and were able to maintain the lead throughout," MATC head coach
Randy Casey said. "We have three regular‑season games left next week, and we need to work hard and get better in every game we play."
Sophomore point guard
Raydelh Boutin led MATC with 23 points, pacing an offense that placed four players in double figures. Sophomore guard
Qi'Andre Washington followed with 19, while sophomore shooting guard
Noah Daniels added 15. Sophomore guard
Jayden Hackett chipped in 13, and freshmen
Turon Rivers and
Sterling Hoarde each contributed eight to round out the scoring.
