MILWAUKEE, Wis. — After spending two seasons with the Milwaukee Area Technical College women's volleyball team and graduating in 2024 with a degree in Business Management & Entrepreneurship, former outside hitter/defensive specialist Olyvia Williams (Cudahy, Wis.) has decided to return to collegiate volleyball. Recently, Williams has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Lakeland University, an NCAA Division III program in Plymouth, Wis., competing in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC), where she will finish her bachelor's degree.

Williams was a regular contributor for the Stormers during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, helping guide the program through its transition to NJCAA Division II and its first winning season in decades. She earned NJCAA All‑Academic recognition during her time at MATC and launched her own business after graduating before choosing to return to the court.

"Olyvia has always been a hard‑working young woman with positive goals in mind," MATC head coach Shel DeLisle said. "She has continued to play after graduating and has also come into her own as a club volleyball coach. The Muskies are lucky to have someone like Olyvia join their program."

During her sophomore campaign in 2023–24, Williams delivered a steady, well‑rounded season for the Stormers. She appeared in 34 matches and contributed across multiple phases of play, finishing with 17 total blocks, 13 service aces, 122 receptions and 56 digs. She added 99.5 points on the year and averaged 1.6 points per set, providing reliable support in both the front and back row.

As she begins her next chapter at Lakeland, Williams brings experience, versatility and a strong academic track record, all of which were qualities that defined her time at MATC and will continue to shape her collegiate career.
