PALOS HILLS, Ill. — Milwaukee Area Technical College women's basketball could not keep pace Tuesday night, falling 85-65 on the road to Moraine Valley. The Stormers were outscored by 18 in the second half, including an 11-point margin in the fourth quarter that sealed the outcome. The loss was their second straight and dropped them to 5-7 overall.
"Foul trouble and timely turnovers were the difference in the second half," MATC head coach
Arom Murrell said. "We also had a couple of defensive lapses that gave them the momentum."
Nine Stormers saw action, and three finished in double figures. Freshman guard
Emani Summers led the way with 13 points, highlighted by a 5-for-8 performance at the free-throw line. Sophomore forward
Lacee Rodriguez followed with her first career double-digit effort, scoring 12 points off the bench. Freshman center Zihre Sellers added 10 points on five made field goals to round out the trio.

Maniyah Woolridge, who each scored seven. Sophomore forward
Moriah Landry contributed six points, all coming in the first half before the Stormers' offense slowed after the break.
