GLENDALE, Wisc. — MATC extended its winning streak to four games and continued its weekend surge with a dominant doubleheader sweep of Kennedy‑King on Saturday, rolling to 12–2 and 10–0 run‑rule victories at MSOE Raiders Stadium.
With the sweep, the Stormers improved to 10–12 overall behind another day of steady pitching, early offense and two shortened wins that never felt in doubt.
MATC head coach
Caleb Bounds said he was pleased with how the group carried its momentum into Saturday's sweep.
"It's always a good day when you get a sweep against a regional foe," Bounds said. "It took us a few innings to get the offense going in Game 1, but Isaiah did a tremendous job on the mound keeping Kennedy‑King at bay until we were able to get some run support.
Jaiden Jung was huge for us by having two home runs and another extra‑base hit that was the spark of the offense.
"In Game 2 the offense picked up right where it left off. We had four guys touch the mound and keep Kennedy‑King from scoring, and the defense provided another errorless game. The offense started by putting up four runs, which allowed our team to settle in, and they did a great job adding four more in the third. Overall, I was very pleased with the boys getting two sweeps on the weekend. Now we have to keep that momentum heading into a big stretch of games starting with RVC on Thursday."
