GLEN ELLYN, Ill. — MATC baseball traveled down to College of DuPage Monday to resume its suspended game from Apr. 17 that saw the Stormers leading 8-4 in the top of the fifth with one-out and the bases-loaded before being suspended.
In a back-and-forth high-scoring affair, MATC suffered a heartbreaking 13-11 defeat via a walk-off grand slam that helped the Chaps plate seven in the seventh.
"That's a really tough way to lose a game," MATC head coach
Caleb Bounds said. "I felt like we were in control the entire game and then in the last inning DuPage was able to produce a seven-spot to ultimately win the game. We just have to bounce back and get ready for the next games."
