MOLINE, Ill. – The Milwaukee Area Technical College women's basketball team was unable to conclude its regular season on a high note playing against Black Hawk College on Saturday.
The Stormers quickly found themselves taking a 16-point deficit into halftime before suffering a 66-47 road defeat to the Braves. The double-digit loss forced MATC to end the 2025 regular season with a 9-21 overall record that saw them finish 5-13 on the road and 2-7 at home.
"Lack of discipline and execution offensively contributed to our regular season final loss," Stormers head coach
Arom Murrell said. "Missed opportunities, foul trouble, as well as being shot-handed once again were also factors."
Collectively, MATC was held to 33.9 percent shooting (20-of-59) as a team. They hit 3-of-15 attempts from beyond the arc and 4-of-8 shots from the charity stripe. It was an inefficient night on offense that saw the Stormers give away 18 turnovers.
