Stormers Add Multi-Sport Standout Aubrey Schwent to 2026 Class

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Stormers are excited to announce libero Aubrey Schwent of Elkhorn Area High School (Delavan, Wis.) has signed with Milwaukee Area Technical College women's volleyball, joining the program's 2026 recruiting class.

At 5‑foot‑5, Schwent has built an impressive resume as a multi‑sport athlete. She has earned nine varsity letters and is on pace to graduate with 11, lettering all four years in volleyball while also competing in track, basketball, dance and powerlifting. On the volleyball court, Schwent anchored Elkhorn's defense during her senior season with a 93.5 percent serve rate, 123 digs and 225 serve receives. She also excelled at the club level with Lakes Juniors Volleyball Club, where she posted a 1.91 passing rating, 129 perfect passes, 356 sets, 61 assists and 310 digs in her most recent campaign. Her strong performances earned recognition on the Badger Region Power League Watchlist in both 2024 and 2025.

"We have a big hole to fill at libero, and I expect Aubrey to step in and run the defense like a veteran," MATC head coach Shel DeLisle said. "She has competed in big‑game environments, shows excellent reflexes and communication skills, and is relentless in her drive to improve. Aubrey will raise the level of play around her, and we're excited to see her on the court."

Schwent's athletic versatility extends well beyond volleyball. She qualified for state and nationals in powerlifting as a junior, competing at the Wisconsin State meet last March, and plans to return as a senior. She has also lettered multiple years in track, showcasing her speed and quick‑twitch ability, and was selected to the Student‑Athlete Leadership Team at Elkhorn Area High School for both 2024–25 and 2025–26.

Equally accomplished in the classroom, Schwent has maintained High Honor Roll status all four years, earning her academic letter along with bronze and silver bars, and is on pace to receive the gold bar at graduation. She has served as secretary of the National Honor Society for the past two years. At MATC, Schwent plans to pursue a business degree while continuing to challenge herself academically. Athletically, she aims to preserve a calm, positive mindset while growing into a defensive leader at the collegiate level.
