DULUTH, MN – This past Friday, the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders captured their first ever Northwoods League Title with a 4-3 win over the Duluth Huskies, led by their field manager, Coach
Zac Charbonneau.
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders finished the season 43-31 and brought the Northwoods League Championship trophy to the Fondy in only their second year of existence. The Dock Spiders roster is comprised of collegiate players from across the country, and included 18 NCAA Division 1 players.
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players. The Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans in a friendly ballpark experience than any league of its kind. The league is a valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, and over 200 former Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball.
Congratulations to Coach
Zac Charbonneau and the entire Dock Spiders organization.
