MATC’s Flees Signs With Benedictine University

OAK CREEK, Wis. — Milwaukee Area Technical College baseball is pleased to announce that sophomore outfielder Peyton Flees has signed with Benedictine University, where he will continue his academic and baseball career this fall in Lisle, Illinois. Flees moves from the NJCAA to the NCAA Division III level and expects to be a versatile addition to a roster that consistently competes near the top of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference standings.

The 6‑foot‑3, 205‑pound Stevens Point, Wisconsin, native heads to Benedictine after giving MATC two seasons of steady, competitive production, even as injuries limited his availability this past spring. As a freshman in 2025, he logged 49 plate appearances and hit .220, finishing with nine singles, three RBIs, four runs and a .327 on‑base percentage while drawing six walks.

Flees returned in 2026 and showed noticeable growth, hitting .261 with six hits — including a double and a triple — and posting a .391 slugging percentage. He added three RBIs, seven runs, two stolen bases and a .346 OBP in the limited chances he was healthy enough to take the field. Defensively, Flees handled most of his opportunities cleanly, finishing with a .917 fielding percentage and providing MATC with a reliable, athletic option in the outfield.

MATC head coach Caleb Bounds praised Flees' development and potential.

"I'm excited for Peyton to be moving on to Benedictine University," Bounds said. "Peyton has the tools to be a really strong player. We wish him the best and can't wait to follow his success at Benedictine University."

After completing a strong career with the Stormers, Flees heads to Benedictine ready to seize a new opportunity at the next level and continue building on his upward development.
