OAK CREEK, Wis. – The Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) baseball team made history during the 2024-25 spring season, posting a program-best 35 wins en route to an impressive 35-23 campaign. But the Stormers' record-breaking success didn't end with the team's overall performance either as three standout sophomores also etched their names into the record books by setting new single-season marks in major offensive categories.
That dynamic trio —
Cole Wissen (Austin, Texas),
Marco Falletti (Lake Geneva), and
Camdin Jansen (Racine) — played pivotal roles in a season that redefined excellence for MATC baseball, both as a team and through individual milestones.
"I'm super proud of the boys for their individual accomplishments," Stormers head coach
Caleb Bounds said. "They did a tremendous job this year and were an integral part of the team breaking the wins record as well."
Second-year outfielder
Cole Wissen set a new single-season RBI record for MATC, driving in a team-high 46 runs during the 2024-25 campaign. His total narrowly edged out teammate
Marco Falletti, who finished close behind with 45 RBIs, to claim the top spot in the program's record book.
Although Falletti narrowly missed the RBI record, he still made history by setting a new single-season mark for doubles. Serving as the team's primary designated hitter and batting in the heart of the order, he tallied 17 doubles to break the previous record. Falletti also posted an impressive .429 batting average this spring — the third-highest single-season mark in program history.
The final individual record to fall this spring came courtesy of starting shortstop
Camdin Jansen, who set a new single-season mark with 65 runs scored. His speed on the basepaths also proved crucial, as he swiped 45 bases — good for the second-highest single-season stolen base total in program history.
