GLEN ELLYN, Ill. – MATC's softball team was swept for the third time this season following a pair of road losses to College of DuPage Tuesday.
Both losses were in large part due to the Chaps' ability to formulate big innings at the plate. In Game 1, the Stormers' defense allowed a nine-run second-inning that helped lift DuPage to a 13-5 win in five innings. In the follow up game, MATC failed to recover from a 4-2 deficit after one inning of action.
"I am proud of the way we continue to battle, but until we can make the fundamental plays defensively, we will continue to struggle," Stormers head coach Joe Kuntner said.
Game 1: DuPage 13, Stormers 5 (5 Innings)
- MATC totaled five hits offensively and three errors defensively
- Mia Carani scored on an error in the second to help the Stormers tie things at one run apiece

- Jordan Hansred recorded an RBI single in the third to cut MATC's deficit to 10-2
