Stormers Softball Goes Undefeated at Conference Clash

OTTAWA, Ill. – MATC softball extended its recent winning streak to eight games by going undefeated (4-0) with wins over Oakton, Prairie State, Morton and Elgin during its Conference Clash at Peck Park this past weekend.

On Saturday, the Stormers claimed a 4-1 win over Oakton before taking a 3-0 shutout win over Prairie State. MATC then carried its momentum into Sunday, where they earned a 21-6 win in five innings over Morton before wrapping up its weekend by taking a 23-4 win in five innings over Elgin.

"I am very proud of our team," MATC head coach Joe Kuntner said of his team's performances during the Conference Clash. "Our goal this weekend was to go 4-0 and give our pitchers much needed rest and we accomplished both of these goals.
