CUDAHY, Wis. — On Sept. 12, the Milwaukee Area Technical College women's basketball team partnered with Milwaukee Diaper Mission to give back to families in need and foster a spirit of service and gratitude among its players.

The Milwaukee Diaper Mission supplies diapers, wipes and essential personal-care items to families facing financial hardship through a network of local service providers.

For two hours at the organization's Cudahy warehouse, players and coaches provided a helping hand for the on-site site managers. All team members were divided into two crews, pulling products from storage racks, assembling and packaging orders at designated stations and staging completed bundles for delivery.

"Many of our student-athletes don't realize how extensive community resources are," said MATC head coach Arom Murrell. "This hands-on experience not only highlights what's available, it also shows them exactly how these operations run. We chose this event because its mission deeply resonates with our team and the families they represent."
