GRAYSLAKE, Ill. - The Milwaukee Area Technical College softball team split a twin bill with College of Lake College, defeated the Lancers 6-4 in game one, and falling 7-3, in game two.

Game 1 – MATC 6, Lake County 4

The Stormers got out to a 5-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for their ninth win of the season. College of Lake County closed the gap in the bottom of the 7
th but fell short.

Emma Staudt had another outstanding performance from the circle for MATC. She gave up five hits and four runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two. Â Â

Sophia Hansen led MATC with two hits in two at bats from the leadoff position, and she walked twice.
Chloe Sadowski helped the offence from the middle of the lineup. She went 1-for-3 on the day and finished with three runs batted in.

Game 2 – MATC 3, Lake County 7

In game two the Stormers struggled to get their offense going as they fell to CLC.

Next up for MATC is a doubleheader at Harper College on Tuesday.
