MILWAUKEE, Wis –  In a contest featuring 10 lead changes and seven ties, the Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers utilized 28 second effort points to hold off the Waubonsee Community College men's basketball team in an 86-85 victory on Wednesday night at Reiman Gymnasium.

Sophmore Ke'Varius "KJ" Taylor led MATC with 23 points, while freshman Jayquan Hickles (19 pts.), sophomore James Horton (12 pts.) and freshman Qi'Andre Washington (12 pts.) also finished in double figures.

The Stormers out-rebounded the Waubonsee Chiefs, 62-38, and Jayquan Hickles led the way with a game-high 19 rebounds.

The Milwaukee Area Technical College men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Escanaba, MI to face the Bay College Norse (6-0).
