Des Plaines, Ill. – The Milwaukee Area Technical College women's basketball team bounced back on Saturday with a victory over Oakton Community College.
The Stormers controlled the pace of the game from the start, going on a 12-3 run to begin play against the Owls. MATC continued dominant play throughout the opening half and headed into the locker room with a 27 point lead. The visiting Stormers rode their momentum into the second halfwith a hot offense as they went on to an 82-33 victory.
Sophomore
Tara Jefferson led the MATC offense, finishing with a game-high 16 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field. Freshman
Monica Thompson added 15 points in the victory, as she went 5-of-10 from behind the 3 point arc.
The Stormers will be back in action on Monday, December 5 as they travel to Menasha, Wisconsin to take on Fox Valley Technical College with a tip-off scheduled for 5:30 PM.
