La Crosse, Wis. – The women's basketball team defeated Western Technical College, 62-33, Saturday on the road at the Holy Cross Seminary Gym. MATC improved to 5-2 on the season.
 
The Stormers led nearly wire to wire with only one tie and only one lead change.
 
Tara Jefferson and Nwoye Green both log double-doubles in victory. Jefferson had 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Green added 10 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.

The defense totaled 23 steals and held Western Technical College to shooting 22.4% from the field.
 
MATC returns to the court on Thursday, December 1, as they host Concordia University Wisconsin Junior Varsity team in a non-conference battle. Game time is set to tip at 6:00 PM.
