Samantha Doucette enters her first season as head women’s basketball coach at MATC with a championship-level pedigree and a reputation for building a nationally competitive NJCAA program. She also oversees recruitment for all student-athletes across fall, winter and spring sports.
A native of Colfax, Wisconsin, Doucette returns to her home state after four successful seasons as head coach at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Cambridge, Minnesota. During her tenure, she guided the Golden Rams to four NJCAA National Tournament appearances, highlighted by back-to-back Final Fours and a 2026 national runner-up finish. Her teams posted a 92–32 cumulative record, and she earned Region 13 Coach of the Year honors in each of her four seasons.
Doucette’s player development record is equally notable. She coached four NJCAA All-Americans and helped more than 15 athletes earn scholarships at NCAA Division I, II and III programs, as well as NAIA institutions. She also spent more than a decade coaching with top-tier AAU organizations such as Team Wisconsin, Legacy Hoops, Fury and Herro, where she focused on long-term growth and competitive readiness.
A former four-year guard at the College of St. Scholastica, Doucette brings a player-centered coaching philosophy rooted in communication, toughness and consistency. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health information management and computer science.
Doucette grew up in a close basketball family as the middle of three sisters, Mallie and Courtney. Away from coaching, she enjoys time with family, traveling and being an aunt to Shai, Jrue, Cam and Cal.
