Colleen DeLisle joined the Stormers coaching staff in 2023 after a solid career as a player and coach.
Colleen began coaching in high school. She coached 7th grade volleyball while still playing varsity in high school. A three year varsity starter in multiple positions, stat leader, and two year captain at Kettle Moraine HS, she was also running the middle school program and training her replacement coaches by her senior year.
Colleen has been a club coach for 7 years, beginning as a boys' assistant coach and eventually becoming the head u17 boys' coach for Revolution Volleyball Academy. She has international experience coaching a 2023 FIVB AT women's volleyball team in Barcelona, Spain.
Colleen played club ball for RVA, Sting, and Southwest volleyball clubs and was part of the Badger Region High Performance training teams for multiple summers. She was a 2016 JVA Athleader Award winner and on the JVA Watchlists. While sought after by many colleges, Colleen joined the military after high school and was an army military police officer in the National Guard. She received several community service and leadership awards including earning her Girl Scout Gold Award for literacy programs in 3 countries, being recognized in Washington DC as the WI Prudential volunteer of the year for founding a service club, receiving the inaugural Inspiring Student Award from TMJ4 Positively Milwaukee for her work in central Milwaukee, and others. Earning her Bachelor's degree in 3 years and playing volleyball at St. Norbert College between activations, Colleen was a strong contributor on the court in several positions and brings this servant leadership attitude to the Stormers as a role model for the team.
After graduating from St. Norbert, Colleen used her remaining eligibility to play for MIlwaukee Area Technical College while preparing for graduate school. She received National Offensive Player of the Week honors 2 of 8 weeks, was 1st team All-Conference and All-Region as well as an All American nominee. She holds records for kills and kill percentage at MATC. She is entering her third year as a collegiate coach and, as academic coach, has provided support to and raised her team's cumulative GPA from a sub-3 to a solid 3.3. She is part of the staff responsible for leading the team to a District A and Regional Championship in 2024, qualifying for the National NJCAA DII 2024 Women's Volleyball Tourney.
Colleen will graduate from UW-Milwaukee with a Master's in Nurse Leadership in May 2025.
