GLEN ELLYN, Ill. – The Milwaukee Area Technical College men's basketball team received a gigantic offensive boost from its sophomore
Dane Dailing in order to pull off a 95-88 road victory over College of DuPage Thursday.
The second-year guard shattered his previous career-high of 16 points set last season by erupting for 35 points, including an impressive 10-for-13 mark from three-point range. Dailing finished the night going 12-for-17 with 35 points, three rebounds and one assist.
It all started in the first half, where Dailing sank five of his 10 total 3-pointers on the night. His 19-point first-half performance along with the fact that sophomore
Matthew Hoarde and
Noah Daniels combined for another 19 points in the first half helped allow the Stormers take a 52-40 halftime lead.
MATC eventually led by as much as 16 in the second half before walking away with a seven-point win to improve to 10-14 and 5-9 on the road.
The Stormers' offense was efficient all night long. In the first half, they shot 67.6 percent on 34 attempts before going on to shoot 50 percent (14-for-28) in the second half. As a result of the solid performance, MATC ended the night shooting nearly 60 percent (59.7 percent) from the field on 62 attempts.
Outside of Dailing, the Stormers had three other scorers reach double-figures. Hoarde finished the evening totaling 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting while freshman Noah Daneils and sophomore
Cyrus Little each added 12 points and 11 points respectively.

Dailing scored a career-high 35 points with 10 3-pointers made to help lead MATC. Hoarde added 20 points, three rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal. Daniels scored 12 points to go along with six rebounds and six assists. Little had 11 points, six assists and five rebounds.
