MALTA, Ill. – The Milwaukee Area Technical College men's basketball team dominated in all facets during Saturday's 92-59 road victory over Kishwaukee College.

As a team, the Stormers shot 44.6 percent (33-of-74) from the field while connecting on a dozen made 3-pointers. As solid as its offense was, MATC's zone defense proved to be even more lethal. Collectively, the Stormers held the Kougars to 25.6 percent shooting (20-of-78) and 20.7 percent from beyond the arc (13-of-20).

The elite play on both sides of the court helped MATC  secure the 33-point win to improve to 8-13 and 3-8 on the road.

Another key to victory for the Stormers were their ability to secure rebounds. They dominated the glass, with sophomores Matthew Hoarde and Antonio Foxweell combining for 31 of the team's 61 rebounds on the evening. Both players' constant presence on the boards helped lead to 17 second-chance points for the Stormers.

Furthermore, MATC's offense dished out 28 assists and combined for 41 bench points. Sophomore Oluwamayowa Akinsipe led the Stormers' scoring attack off the bench, totaling 18 points in 23 minutes of action.

STAT BOOK
Hoarde led the Stormers with 19 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and one steal. Foxwell added a double-double with 18 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and one block. Akinsipe poured in 18 points, six rebounds, and three steals off the bench. Julian Valentine connected on four 3-pointers, which helped the freshman end the evening with 13 points.
