CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. – The Milwaukee Area Technical College men's basketball team had little trouble dismantling McHenry County on the road Tuesday night.

The Stormers, who shot 50 percent from the field (43-of-86) as a team, totaled six separate players in double figures in their 114-79 road win over the Scots.

Sophomores Antonio Foxwell had a team high 19 points and Freshman Ky'Moni Hunt finished just behind him with 18 points. Three others Stormers scored in double figures. Matthew Hoarde added 17 points, Owen Smith scored 14 points and Oluwamayowa Akinsipe had 13 points in the victory. 

With everyone doing their fair share of the workload, the Stormers were able to get out comfortably early on before taking a 58-44 halftime lead. Up by 14-points at the break, MATC kept its foot on the gas and took the second half 57-35 to help seal the 36-point victory.

The Stormers proved to be dominant in all phases. They shot 57.6 percent on two-point attempts (30-of-54) and 40.6 percent from deep on 13-of-32 attempts. Furthermore, they also out-rebounded McHenry 50-38, which included 18 offensive rebounds that helped lead to 25 second-chance points.

As a team that likes to play fast, MATC regularly found themselves with easy scoring opportunities. For the game, the Stormers totaled 29 transition points and 12 points off turnovers.

MATC (3-8) will travel to Port Huron, Mich. on Dec. 6, where it will compete in the Skippers Classic beginning at 5 p.m. against St. Clair County.
